Employment of veterinarians and veterinary technicians is growing, 12% per year for veterinarians and 30% per for veterinary technicians. The steps prospective veterinarians must take from state to state to earn a DVM are more consistent than for veterinary technicians to earn an Associate’s degree in Applied Science in Veterinary Technology.
