The significance of veterinary education has prompted VeterinarianEDU.org to provide a way of helping those who are pursuing a future in this profession. We are proud to announce that we will be distributing an annual scholarships to qualified candidates who are in pursuit of an academic degree. These scholarships are merit-based and help students ease the financial burden that comes with a veterinary education. Each annual scholarship amounts to $500 and will be given out each spring semester. To be eligible for a scholarship, students must be currently enrolled in a veterinary undergraduate, graduate or Doctorate level program. Candidates will be judged on the strength of their application and required essay. Candidates are only permitted to submit one application per year.
Veterinary scholarship candidates are required to fill out and submit the VeterinarianEDU.org application as well as an original essay. Each individual essay must be correctly submitted by using the above form. Each essay is also expected to be properly formatted.
Grounds for disqualification apply to candidates who supply false information or use any form of plagiarism. Essays are expected to be the original work of each applicant. Plagiarism checks will be conducted on all essays.
Evaluating the essay portion of the application will consider different factors. Each essay will be judged on a candidate’s ability to directly address the question and offer personal insight as it applies to their chosen profession.
Our scholarship staff will thoroughly review each application. The vetting process includes a close examination of each component in the application. The staff will look at each candidate’s academic record, personal essay, employment history and extracurricular activities. ANNOUNCING THE WINNER

This will occur in 30 days or less of the application deadline date. Each winner will be notified via phone call or e-mail. Phone calls will be made to those who provide a number on their application. Selected winners must then show their most recent transcripts and GPA from their college or university. This is done for verification purposes.
In the event that a winning applicant cannot present a valid transcript or is found to have falsified their GPA, the VeterinarianEDU.org staff reserves the right to revoke the scholarship award. In these instances, the scholarship will be given to the next qualified applicant.
Each $500 scholarship award will be distributed to the winner through the issuance of a one-time payment check that is made out directly to the post-secondary school the candidate is attending. Every scholarship award will be paid out within three months of the time that the winner was notified of this honor.
*If a candidate has fully paid for the cost of his/her education, then the award will be paid directly to the winner by check, which will be sent to the permanent mailing address on their application.
